Learning Outcomes :-
After completing the module you should be able to:
1. Explore evidence-based practice influence on healthcare system development.
2. Critically review past and current healthcare crises and source potential interventions through an analysis of evidence-based information.
3. Evaluate evidence-based research (including data collection approaches such as qualitative and quantitative suitable for establishing links between the health of individuals populations and health care systems and resources.
4. Evaluate healthcare data and recognise the improvements required to enhance patient wellbeing and safety.
5. Graduate attribute: Reflective Practitioner: students will undertake critical analysis and reach reasoned and evidenced decisions.They will contribute problem solving skills to find innovative solutions.

Your assignment should include :- a title page containing your student number the module name the submission deadline and the exact word count of your submitted
document the appendices if relevant and a reference list in AU Harvard system. You should address all the elements of the assignment task listed below. Please note that tutors will use the assessment criteria set out below in assessing your work.
You must not include your name in your submission because Arden University operates anonymous marking, which means that markers should not be aware of the identity of the student. However please do not forget to include your STU number.

Students are required to indicate the exact word count on the title page of the assessment.
The word count includes everything in the main body of the assessment including in text citations and references. The word count excludes numerical data in tables figures diagrams foot notes reference list and appendices. ALL other printed words ARE included in the word count.
Please note that exceeding the word count by over 10% will result in a 10-percentage point deduction.
Assignment Task :-
The assignment is divided into 2 components which need to be focused on a topic area selected from the list of examples provided. Students are requested to critically review a current health and/or social care crisis that has affected population health and wellbeing and impacted on health and care practice over the last 5 years to explore an evidence-based practice approach to attempts to solve the crisis.
Students are required to select one of the following critical case study examples from the list below:
• The Covid-19 pandemic
• Shortage of health and/or social care workers
• Nutritional security
• Young people’s mental health
• Type 2 diabetes
• Childhood obesity
• The ageing population and growth of complex needs
• The ageing population and rise in dementia
• Health inequalities
• Long waiting lists for health and social care appointments
Assessment Choice
To evidence that you have met the learning outcomes for this assessment you will need to choose one assessment method to present Components 1 from the list below:
• Power Point presentation

If students decide to choose the PowerPoint presentation option they will need to produce a Zoom recording of themselves presenting and include the recording link on the Power Point slides for the marker to access and view.
Component 1
This assignment is worth 70% of the marks for the module.
Students will review the chosen care crisis and explore evidence-based practice that has impacted and provided solutions to attempt to solve the crisis. Students need to draw upon research that has been published within the last 5 years from reputable and ethical sources. In the critical review they will demonstrate an under standing of the strengths and limitations of the selected evidence-based practice. It is expected that they link this to the partnership of improving population health and well-being and the development of integrated care system approaches.
