What am I required to do in this assignment?
Assessment 2 – Is the creation of a CPD portfolio which will allow you to document your development using evidence from activity within workshop sessions, practice weeks, group work and self-directed learning as well as learning activity away from university (placements, employment experiences, voluntary work etc.). This assessment will allow you to develop your ability to critically evaluate your development throughout the unit and to discuss the competencies you have gained and how this will impact on your future performance and behaviour.

Your portfolio will contain several sections relating to your Professional Development. These are:

A. You will briefly introduce the CIPD Profession Map and conduct an analysis of your own skills and behaviours
bench marked against it.
B.You will present a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Log, with supporting evidence of the key areas of
personal and professional development during the time period of your degree studies.
C. Having identified gaps in your professional development, you will create a detailed Professional Development Plan
(PDP) for the next 12 months.
D. Your assignment will conclude with a reflective commentary which allows you to identify milestones and to reflect
upon your experiences.

In order to pass Assessment 2 you will need to:
1.Analyse and evaluate the various aspects of HR professionalism with reference to the Chartered Institute of Personnel
and Development’s HR Profession Map against your own skills and behaviours.
2. Present a CPD Log, setting out evidence of key areas of personal and professional development.
3. Construct, implement and review an effective personal development plan (PDP) and reflective learning record.
